professor of Visual Design at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he
expounded his design philosophy by editing a set of six books of essays by a
variety of authors: The Vision and Value Series. Color is the main
ingredient of his abstract designs. He executed designs for several
installations by the Willet Hauser Studios. Among them are the faceted
glass designs for
Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cathedral
in San Francisco and
the Red Line Harvard Subway Station in Boston, Massachusetts.
