An abstract artist
celebrated for his imaginative collage work, Mr. Loving studied fine arts at
the University of Michigan. He has received awards from the National
Endowment for the Arts and the Guggenheim Foundation. His work has been
exhibited in the United States, France and Argentina and can be found in the
collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Whitney Museum of
American art has well as many others. For the very busy Broadway-East New
York station complex in Brooklyn, Mr. Loving designed 60 panels of faceted
glass art fabricated by the Willet Hauser Studios. The panels feature bold
geometric shapes that can be seem from the interior of the station, the
platforms of the elevated lines, and the streets below. |  |
